Skin Testing

Colour Responsible Policy At Louise Fudge Hair Salon in Heswall

While we appreciate that this may be an inconvenience, we must follow the correct safety procedures for your safety and the peace of mind of both clients & stylists. Reactions to hair colour can be serious and even life threatening. There are strict guidelines from manufacturers, insurers, and industry bodies around using hair colour.

Everyone MUST have a skin test – there are NO EXCEPTIONS.

AAT tests are also known as skin tests or patch tests. They are super simple and quick to carry out. ALL clients must visit the salon for a FREE – in house Allergy Alert test (ATT skin tests). We will apply a small amount of colour formula behind your ear, this should be left untouched for at least 48 hours. We will give you instructions on what to look out for in case of an allergic reaction.

Should you experience any signs of irritation, reddening, swelling, inflammation or itching, please contact us straight away. If you develop symptoms that make you unwell, please contact a medical professional.

We also offer free parking to make your visit even more stress-free!

The skin testing policy at Louise Fudge hairdressing, Cheshire includes:

  • Individuals who have had Coronavirus as there has been an increase in people becoming sensitive to hair colour.
  • People who have coloured their hair at home.
  • Those who have not visited the salon for 6 months or longer.
  • Clients who are new to Louise Fudge and would like their hair coloured.

Should you have any queries or questions regarding skin testing our stylists are happy to explain fully why we believe this is the responsible way to use hair colour.  You can book your skin test & consultation by calling 0151 342 7272.
